What is DNA?
DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) is the "blueprint of life" found in nearly all cells and is inherited from our parents. DNA determines an individual's characteristics, such as hair color, eye color, etc. Everyone's DNA is unique with the exception of identical twins, which have the same DNA profile. DNA is composed of 4 bases; (A) Adenine, (T) Thymine, (G) Guanine, and (C) Cytosine. The bases combine in different sequences that result in an individual's genetic code.
